It is important to keep your face clean:
To remove impurities, wash your face two times a day. This will remove impurities and dead skin cells from the surface of the skin. Do not use hot water to wash your face, use warm water and employ the use of a mild facial cleanser as irritation can occur using a harsh soap.
Use a washcloth to gently scrub your face. With a clean towel, dry your face after rinsing.
Avoid the use of too much makeup:
If you are having a breakout, do not apply foundation, makeup, blush or powder as they can worsen the situation. Use oil-free makeup if you have to wear makeup.
The use of a moisturizer:
After applying an acne cream, you may notice that your skin is dry, that’s because many acne creams contain ingredients that can lead to dryness of the skin. Use moisturisers that reduce dryness. Look for moisturisers that suit your skin type.
Avoid touching your face excessively:
Many do this unconsciously. Do not touch your face with your hands too frequently, as this could transfer germs and bacteria. Never burst or pick pimples as it could cause scarring and infection. Hand washing can never be overemphasized.
Old skin cells pile up on the surface of the skin making it look rough, dull and dry. It clogs the skin pores resulting in excess oil, leading to acne and blemishes. At least, once or twice a week, exfoliate your skin to remove the layers of dead skin, giving your skin that healthy glow.
