Simple First Aid Tips to learn in 2021

These tips should not be used as a substitute for formal first aid training. When you work with young people, your acquired first aid skills could be the difference between life and death during an emergency situation.

1) How to respond when a pupil is bleeding:-
Whether tending to a nose bleed, grazed knee or a very deep cut, teachers should be equipped with a well-stocked, good quality first aid kit.

2) How to respond when a student is choking:-
When a pupil starts to choke, encourage them to cough out whatever is blocking their airway.
If they can’t cough it out, you have to give five sharp back blows between their shoulder blades, to slap out the offending food. (a very effective method)
