Saving Lives through Our Global Network of Voluntary Blood Donors
Blood is an essential commodity and it is vital to human life. It carries essential nourishment to all the tissues and organs of the body. Blood used for transfusion, according to the World Health Organization should be obtained only from willing, unpaid voluntary blood donors.This is the reason for the Voluntary Blood Donation Initiative and the annual Global Voluntary Blood Donation Campaign through which TCIF carries out advocacy and grass-root mobilization of voluntary non-remunerated blood donors. These programs have resulted in the production of a robust blood donor registry.
