Celebrating World First-Aid Day 2021
Every year, the second Saturday in the month of September is observed globally as World First Aid Day. It is an annual campaign with the aim to raise awareness about the life-saving skill and to promote the importance of first aid training in preventing injuries and saving lives.
Having the ability to act quickly in an emergency can save lives and decrease the severity of injuries. Simple first aid skills, as well as the confidence to employ them, saves lives, and anyone who has been trained has the potential to do so.
Over the years, Trauma Care International Foundation has been consistently engaged in executing mass first aid and emergency response trainings and advocacy campaigns in both private and public schools, in partnership with the Ministries of Education and Health, organized local communities such as Teachers, corporate organization staff, students of higher institutions, youth organizations, major road users and also in collaboration with some government bodies and law enforcement agencies across Nigeria, Africa, and on a global scale such as the Nigeria Police Force, the South Sudanese Traffic Police, FRSC, NSCDC, LNSC, the Scout Association etc.
