Every year, the second Saturday in the month of September is observed globally as World First Aid Day. It is an annual campaign with the aim to raise awareness about the life-saving skill and to promote the importance of first aid training in preventing injuries and saving lives.

The theme for this year's campaign is First Aid and Sports, to highlight the importance of first aid in sports, the role of first aid in reducing sports injuries, and to promote life-saving skills.

Over the years, Trauma Care International Foundation has been consistently engaged in executing mass first aid and emergency response trainings and advocacy campaigns in both private and public schools, in partnership with the Ministries of Education and Health, organized local communities such as teachers, corporate organization staff, students of higher institutions, youth organizations, major road users and also in collaboration with some government bodies and law enforcement agencies across Nigeria, Africa, and on a global scale.
