Trauma Care International Foundation (TCIF) recently concluded a transformative three-day outreach programme at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), engaging 598 students from the Department of Food Science and Technology in a dynamic initiative focused on first aid training and a blood donation drive. The programme, themed "Campus Crimson Champions League," aimed to equip students with life-saving skills and promote voluntary blood donation to address critical healthcare needs.

In collaboration with the Federal Medical Centre, Ido-Ekiti, which facilitated the blood collection process, TCIF successfully organized a blood donation drive that saw enthusiastic participation from the university community. The initiative not only raised awareness about the importance of blood donation but also fostered a culture of compassion and civic responsibility among the students.

Additionally, TCIF conducted specialized first aid training for the Man O’ War Nigeria, FUOYE Cadet Unit, empowering these student leaders with essential skills to respond effectively in emergencies. The training sessions were interactive, practical, and designed to build confidence in handling trauma-related situations.

To celebrate the participants’ commitment, TCIF provided refreshments, branded T-shirts, face caps, and certificates of participation, fostering a sense of achievement and community spirit. The overwhelming turnout of 598 participants underscored the success of the program and the eagerness of FUOYE students to contribute to societal well-being.

Trauma Care International Foundation remains dedicated to promoting trauma awareness, first aid education, and voluntary blood donation across Nigeria. The success of this outreach at FUOYE is a testament to the power of collective action in saving lives and building healthier communities.
